Meet Melissa, Your Artful Esthetician
Melissa is passionate about all services and offerings that she has designed and shared with her clients. Every single one comes from her authentic interest in experiencing an offering herself. And her innate and genuine desire to then share that experience with others is what Nourish Holistic Beauty & Wellness in Cypress, TX is all about.
Melissa was born and raised in Mexico. She arrived in the States over 22 years ago. She is the mama to two lovely children, Paola and Pablo. After more than two decades of living, working, and loving in this space, she has come to call Houston home.
While working in the restaurant business, she enrolled in an eyelash extension program. It was out of pure curiosity, and with the desire to find an alternative to her allergy to mascara. She then went on to cosmetology school and earned the title of Eyelash Extension Specialist. Her love of these rituals grew from there, and she enrolled in an aesthetics program. She has more than a decade of applying lashes and extensions and eight years of skincare experience. She is an Advanced Eyelash Stylist with Xtreme Lashes and, in 2016, became a Brow Specialist with TrueBrow. Melissa has taken this experience to the next level recently by pursuing facial sculpting, lymphatic flow and fascia release massage. She is currently exploring facial reflexology. She follows her curiosities and passions for living a natural life to bring about every new level and offering at Nourish.
Melissa has a passion for dance movement. She is a yoga teacher and has been practicing conscious movement and embodiment movement for more than 10 years. She has earned the designation of Somatic Experience Practitioner, Somatic Movement Facilitator and Integrated Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).
